Retail sails for candles in the U.S. for 2001 were approximately 2.3 billion dollars. Nearly all candle users burn candles between 1 and three times per week and burn one or two candles at one time. There are over 300 known commercial makers of candles in the U.S. alone. These figures are supplied by the National Candle Association.
